Booking Channels

Policy

Control how many days in advance bookings can be accepted before the product/service start date (this can also be edited per agent).

If you set a shorter number of days before the product/service start date, bookings can be accepted closer to the last minute (setting it to zero allows same-day bookings). However, shorter windows increase the likelihood of schedule changes close to the start date.

To set the booking window:

Product Settings >> Product Details >> Policy


Access level & Commission

In addition to setting the booking window, agents can make bookings depending on their connection level.

To control access level and commission per travel agent:

Product Settings >> Booking Channels

There are three connection levels:

  • No Access – The agent cannot view or book your products/services. This is the default setting.
  • Request Access – The agent can view pricing and send booking requests based on the booking window you've set.
  • Reservation Access – In addition to inquiry access, the agent can immediately confirm bookings for available or free-sale products.

Commissions for each agent can be set in the Commission field.

How to add agents to a booking channel?

To add agents to your booking channel, please contact the RoomBoss support team via email at info@roomboss.co.jp.

It's also possible to connect an ECS account as an agent to another company’s vendor account. In this case, the connection level and commission settings must be configured by the user of the vendor account. (RoomBoss support cannot make these changes on behalf of vendor users.)


Commission Adjustments

Product Settings >> Product Details >> Commission Adjustment

Allows you to adjust commissions for specific agents, limited by period or product.

Commission adjustments can be either negative or positive. For example:

  • If the agent commission is set to 20%, adding a "+5%" adjustment will increase the commission to 25%.
  • A "-5%" adjustment will reduce the commission to 15%.

How to Set

  1. Select the "Start Date" and click "View".
  2. Make sure no existing adjustments overlap with the one you're creating, then click the "+" button at the bottom right of the screen.
  3. Follow the popup instructions to input the commission adjustment conditions and save.
  4. To edit an existing commission adjustment, select the adjustment and click the pencil icon to the left of the "+" button.
