Use Individual Logins
Having a different user login for each team member helps track user activity.
It creates a detailed history of changes made to a booking, associated with individual logins.
Make Use of Tasks
Managing individual work items as separate tasks has several benefits:
- Who is responsible.
- When is the due date.
- What is the task status.
A series of tasks on a booking conveys a clear timeline of information.
Maintain Booking Notes
Notes can help to keep track of important information. However, it's better to keep notes short and concise since it may be very difficult to find relevant information within a very long note.
You should keep information that is relevant at the top of the Booking Note and remove sections that are no longer needed.
The Operations Report shows notes on accommodation bookings. Keep key notes on the accommodation booking as opposed to on packaged item bookings.
Using Tasks as an alternative to Booking Notes helps keep the information entered in Booking Notes concise and succinct.
Processing Payments with Square Terminal
RoomBoss can be connected to a Square Terminal to process credit card payments onsite.
Only Square Terminal is supported.
Other Square devices (such as Square Reader or mobile POS apps) are not supported.
Once connected, payments processed through the Square Terminal are automatically recorded in RoomBoss and applied to the booking.
How to Charge a Booking with Square Terminal
- Log in to RoomBoss
(User must not be a Super Admin) - Select the appropriate Sales Desk location
- Open the booking and navigate to the Financial tab
- Click Edit
- Click Pay with Square Terminal
The payment amount will automatically be sent to the connected Square Terminal.
Complete the payment on the terminal device.
Once approved, the payment will be recorded against the booking in RoomBoss.
Square Terminal must be set up and connected to your RoomBoss account in advance.
If the terminal is not configured, the Pay with Square Terminal option will not appear.
