Login Troubleshooting
Invalid username or password
If the following message is displayed:
Invalid username or password. Multiple failed login attempts may result in your account being temporarily locked.
Please check the following:
- Click the eye icon in the password field to make sure the password has been entered correctly.
- Check that you are using the correct username. Your username is not your email address.
- Check for any typing errors, including uppercase/lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
- Check that Caps Lock is not turned on accidentally.
- Try entering your username and password manually instead of copying and pasting them, as copied text may contain extra spaces.
- If your browser or password manager automatically fills in your login details, try entering them manually. Saved credentials may be outdated.
- If you recently changed your password, make sure you are using your new password.
- If you do not know your password, use the password reset option on the login page.
- If you do not know your username, please ask someone in your company who has
Super Adminaccess.
Do not repeatedly attempt to log in with credentials you are unsure about. Multiple failed login attempts may temporarily lock your account. If you have checked your login details and are still unable to log in, reset your password.
Temporary Account Lockout
If there are multiple failed login attempts on your RoomBoss account, your account may be temporarily locked for security purposes.
When this happens, you will receive an email with the subject:
RoomBoss - Temporary Account Lockout
The lockout is an automatic security measure designed to help protect your account from unauthorised access.
If you were trying to log in
If you were attempting to log in when you received the email, please wait for the temporary lockout period to end before trying again.
Before trying again, check your username and password carefully. If you are unsure about your login details, refer to the Invalid username or password section above.
Do not repeatedly attempt to log in with credentials you are unsure about, as this may temporarily lock your account again.
If you were not trying to log in
If you receive a Temporary Account Lockout email when you were not attempting to log in, someone else may have attempted to access your account.
The temporary lockout does not necessarily mean that someone successfully accessed your account. It is a security measure triggered by repeated failed login attempts.
Please contact RoomBoss Support so that we can assist you.
We also strongly recommend enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) to add an additional layer of protection to your account.
For more information, see User Account Security.
If you still cannot log in
If the temporary lockout period has ended and you are still unable to log in:
- Reset your password using Reset Password.
- Try logging in again with your username and new password.
- If you are still unable to access your account, contact RoomBoss Support for assistance.
