Important OTA Changes to Avoid After RBCM Connection
After connecting RBCM (RoomBoss Channel Manager), making certain changes directly on OTA platforms may cause connection errors, stop sales, or result in rate and availability synchronization issues.
Please review the following carefully and be cautious when making changes on the OTA side.
Avoid Changing Rates or Restrictions for Linked Rate Plans on the OTA Side
Action to Avoid
Directly changing the following settings for linked rate plans from the OTA extranet:
- Rates
- Minimum Length of Stay
- Maximum Length of Stay
- Minimum days to check in
- Maximum days to check in
Possible Issues
- The OTA settings may become inconsistent with RoomBoss
- Errors such as restriction push failed may occur
- OTA settings may be overwritten by values sent from RoomBoss
Correct Procedure
Please make all rate and restriction changes from the RoomBoss side only.
Avoid Deleting Linked Rate Plans
Action to Avoid
Deleting rate plans on the OTA side that are linked to RoomBoss.
Possible Issues
- Repeated errors may occur
- The connection with RoomBoss may be disconnected
- Rates, availability, and restrictions may no longer sync
- Reconnection may take time
What to Do Instead
If you would like to stop selling a rate plan, please use settings such as “Closed” or stop sales instead of deleting the rate plan. If the rate plan is no longer needed and you would like to delete it, please contact RoomBoss Support first to disconnect the integration, and then delete the rate plan on the OTA side.

If the room type is no longer needed and you would like to delete it, please contact RoomBoss Support first to disconnect the integration, and then delete the rate plan on the OTA side.
Avoid Deleting Linked Property
Examples:
- You will no longer manage the property
- Management of the property is being transferred to another management company
- You will continue managing the property, but no longer wish to list it on OTA channels
Correct Procedure
If the property will no longer be listed on OTA channels in the future, please contact RoomBoss Support. We will assist with disconnecting the OTA integration using the correct procedure.
Temporary Suspension of OTA Sales
If you only wish to temporarily stop selling the property on OTA channels, we recommend that you do not disconnect the integration. Reconnecting a property to an OTA may take time and, depending on the OTA, may require additional setup or approval. Instead, we recommend temporarily closing availability or using OTA-supported stop-sell functions while keeping the RoomBoss connection active.
