Hakuba Village Bed Tax
The calculation method and report format have been discussed with Hakuba Village, and it is believed they will accept this approach.

How Hakuba Village Accommodation Tax is calculated
The applicable accommodation tax rate is determined by the booking's check-out date.
The Hakuba accommodation tax uses banded tax thresholds based on the tax-exclusive accommodation amount per person, per night.
Because RoomBoss derives the accommodation tax from the total tax-inclusive booking amount, it may not always be possible to determine the exact tax amount for every booking.
In cases where the correct tax amount cannot be determined from the booking value, please contact Hakuba Village Tax Office to confirm the correct tax payable.
Tax Bands
Bed tax is calculated using the following bands:

The tax amount includes ¥100 allocated to Nagano Prefecture within the total.
Important Notes
- Tax is calculated based on check-out date, not booking creation date
- Calculations depend on derived per-night values, not actual nightly pricing
- Minor discrepancies may occur due to reverse-calculation from tax-inclusive pricing
- Always verify reported values before submission
What Is Excluded
The following bookings are not included in calculations:
- Bookings with zero Gross or Sell/Net value
- Bookings not allocated to a room
- Any amounts configured as non-bed-taxable exclusions, such as:
- Breakfast
- Onsen tax
- Service charges
- Other excluded components defined in the profile

Bed tax values can be reviewed using the Custom Booking Reports tool in Bookings → Search Bookings.
