Stock Based Sales

It is possible to limit the number of units (stock) of products available to be booked inside RoomBoss. To set up Stock Based Non Accommodation Sales:

Change Product Type to Stock Based

Navigate to Product Setup → Product Details and select the Products and Services tab. Click the icon to the left of the product you would like to change.

For the Type of Inventory select Stock-Based and click Save.

If this is option is not visible in your account and you would like to use stock based sales please contact us.

Add Stock to Product

To add stock to non–accommodation stock based products:

In accounts without accommodation vendors Navigate to Product Setup → Control Stock In accounts with accommodation vendors Navigate to Booking Channels → Allotments

1. Choose the vendor and product under Room Type and select a year and month on 1 Month Detailed View.

2. Click Change Stock, select your desired date and Quantity of available units for this date range and Save.

This number of units will be available for sale for this date range.

Users must have Control Stock permission to set stock – See User Management for more on permissions.

Notes on Stock Based Availability

Stock is available to be booked by account users or agents (subject to booking access), it is not possible for account users or agents to book more than the available stock.

• If there is stock available agents can make Request or Reservation (subject to booking access).

• If there is no stock left agents can still make Request but not Reservation.

• On the web widgets it is possible for guests to make Request regardless of stock (guests cannot make Reservation via web widgets).

• It is not possible for account users or agents to change a booking from Request to Reservation if there is no stock available.

• If you would like to stop all Request from coming on certain date(s), you would need to perform Stop Sells on your desired date(s).
