Setting up your new Accommodation ECS account
Accommodation ECS accounts are designed to support B2B sales for properties managed under a third-party PMS. Room availability can be set manually or via an API connection to your PMS or middleware.
Once your account setup is complete, you will receive a new User ID. After accessing your RoomBoss account, follow these steps to start selling:
Product Details
Navigate to Product Setup → Product Details
Set Booking Policy
Control your booking and cancellation policies – including the Booking Window and Cancellation Policy.
Online Payment settings have been moved and are now managed on the Online Payment Settings page.)
Check Room Types
Verify that all room types are correct (name, maximum guests, and other attributes) by clicking the Room Types tab.
Enter Text Descriptions
Provide descriptive text for your property and individual rooms by accessing the Text Descriptions tab.
Rates and Restrictions
Configure Rates and Restrictions with Rate Plans
Navigate to Product Setup → Rate Plans
Accommodation ECS accounts set up rates similarly to PMS accounts using Rate Plans and Rate Calendars.
If you would like to check pricing for particular dates and occupancy, this can be done using the Price Calculator.
Control Stock
Manage Availability for Each Room Type
Navigate to Product Setup → Control Stock
This page will allow you to control how many rooms are available to be booked, room stock can be added and removed at any time.
User Accounts
Add Users
Navigate to Account → Users Provide members of your team with individual or group logins by setting up additional users. Users can be granted different permission levels according to their role. For more information, consult our User Management documentation.
Booking Channels
Booking Channels Settings
Navigate to Product Setup → Booking Channels Set Access and Commission for individual booking channels such as travel agents. Once this step has been completed, travel agents will be able to start booking rooms or make requests. For more information, please see our Booking Channels documentation.
If you wish to add more agents to your Booking Channels, please contact RoomBoss Support.
Invoice Strategy
Set Invoicing Strategy
Navigate to Product Setup → Invoice Strategy This a beneficial time saving feature if you are planning to invoice agents using RoomBoss and are not using the Create Invoices In Bulk feature.
Setting Invoice Strategies is only required if you are using RoomBoss for invoicing.
