To ensure you get the information you need from your guests, RoomBoss allows you to manage the fields that are shown on the booking widget and set which of these fields to be Compulsory.
For accommodation: Agents cannot proceed with a booking unless they have entered information or made a choice for compulsory fields.
For non-accommodation: Agents and direct customers cannot proceed with a booking unless they have entered information or made a choice for compulsory fields.
Navigate to Product Setup → Product Details
For Accommodation vendors click the Room Types tab
For Non Accommodation vendors click the Product and Services tab
Click on the edit icon of the desired Product / Room Type
Locate the options you wish to set as compulsory
Click on the Compulsory checkbox located under the option
Click on the Save button
Options set as compulsory on the booking page are marked with an asterisk *.
If a customer attempts to click on the ADD TO SHOPPING CART button without making a choice for compulsory options, a notification will appear stating which option is required.
The customer cannot proceed with the booking unless they have made a selection for the compulsory options.
As with the customer facing booking widget, compulsory options on the B2B booking page are marked with an asterisk *.
If a user attempts to create a booking without making a choice for compulsory options, notification messages will appear stating which option is required.
The booking cannot proceed unless they have made a selection for the compulsory options.
