Guest ID Capture With AdriaScan

RoomBoss is integrated with AdriaScan for capture of guest ID details.

Before using with RoomBoss you will need the AdriaScan scanner and their software client installed on the computer you wish to use.

When installing the AdriaScan ID Reader client, add the optional "HTTP Interface" when prompted.

ID Reader Settings

• Protocol: HTTP / JSON

• URL: /IDReader

• Port: 8118

Setup in RoomBoss

Your account master user can enable scanning on via Account : Edit Account Details

Once enabled you will see a Scan Passport link for each booking on the front desk HQ:

Clicking this will open the ID capture page:

This page has 2 functions:

Add Guest

Hit Enter once (or click Add Guest) to trigger the scan, if scan succeeds will see details in the page:

Left Side Shows Data From ID Right Side Shows What Will Be Saved

Hit Enter a second time or click Save at bottom of page to save guest.

Update Guest

To update an existing guest with details form their passport click Scan & Update

Fields that are not already populated on the guest will show green and be populated with with the info from the id.

Hit Enter or click Save at bottom of page to save guest.

Conflicting Fields On Update Guest

Where the information on the guest differs from the information on the ID differences will show in yellow:

Left Side Shows Data From ID Right Side Shows What Will Be Saved

• Click >> to include all fields from the id in what is saved (copy from left to right)

• Click > on an individual field to include this in what is saved (copy from left to right)

Hit enter or click Save at bottom of page to save guest.

Duplicate Guest Ids

System will not allow adding the same guest id to a booking more than once, for this case save will not be possible and user will be prompted as below:

AdriaScan can be setup to automatically store Id images in their DocBook service please speak to them to enable this.
