Prior to entering rates it is important to check that occupancy is set correctly on your Room Types.

Will your pricing vary depending on occupancy?

Each Room Type has a base and maximum occupancy level, you can set rates for a type for each occupancy level from base to maximum.

A hotel room with a different price for each level of occupancy from 1 to 5 would be set with base occupancy 1 and max occupancy 5.

However, a 2 bedroom apartment which can accommodate up to 5 people and is the same rate for occupancies of 1-4 with an extra cost for the 5th person would be set with base occupancy 4 and max occupancy 5.

To manage Occupancy navigate to Product Setup → → Room Types tab

The most efficient way to manage rates is by setting up calendars and managing rates at the period level:

However, it is possible to set rates and restrictions at the day level:
